Learning Games for Kids

Learning Games for Kids is a wonderful website full of educational games for kids. One of my favorites are the United States Games. There are games for most subjects such as geography, science, art, spelling and social studies to name a few. My students in fourth grade create a PowerPoint presentation on one of the fifty states and the states games will go along with this lesson to help reinforce the state symbols.

Soudzabound - Royalty Free Music License

It is important to be compliant with copyright laws when creating digital projects. You have to be real careful especially when posting online. The ticket to being compliant is to purchase a license to Soundzabound. I am so happy that we have this resource available to us! I know that my students are going to be compliant when I post their projects online and that is a great relief to me.

Soundzabound is the ONLY royalty free music library which meets all the licensing and technology requirements needed for education! The Soundzabound Music Library offers a wide range of music for education that ensures copyright safety. The kids will love the music and also learn valuable lessons as I enlighten them about copyright laws. The music is great for podcasts, PowerPoint, videos, news shows, photo shows and much more! I highly recommend purchasing a license for your school!

LearnBoost Facebook Cash Giveaway

I won! Thanks LearnBoost! On Friday, August 12th, I received the following email: "I'm happy to announce that you are the winner of the LearnBoost Facebook Cash Giveaway. After compiling the results, the total amount in our jar is $514.35, which means we'll be cutting a check for $257.17 to you, and $257.18 to the school of your choice." Of course my school of choice is St. Rose of Lima School. I am very grateful and excited!

I was also thrilled to see a congratulations for winning the giveaway on my favorite tech bloggers page, Richard Byrne of Free Tech 4 Teachers. I have been following Richard's blog for many years and have learned about many free and useful tools. Thanks, Richard for sharing so many resources, you have been an invaluable resource for me!

LearnBoost is an amazing all in one gradebook and lesson plan software that is free! It also integrates seamlessly if you happen to be a school using Google Apps. The features are fantastic and they are always adding new and great applications. If you haven't heard of it yet, take my advice and go to their website to learn more and sign up.
